Recent blockchain-focused company CLOVR revealed that cryptocurrency investing is most popular between people that are earning approximately $75.000 up to $99.999 per year. This survey has collected responses from more than 1,000 Americans aged between 18 and 80.
According to the study, the percentage of men who invested in a crypto is almost double than women who invested in a digital currency. Almost 43% of men and 23% of women are investing in crypto. To be completely precise, let’s say that 47% of individuals with an annual income of less than $ 75,000 a year invested in some asset. On the other hand, we have less than a quarter of people who are earning less than $ 25,000 and they said that they could afford a specific investment worth that much in the crypto.
With that in mind, according to data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the weekly earnings for the second quarter of 2018 for men between 25-34 were $ 857, which is around $ 44,000 per year. Over 40 percent of the respondents reported that the main reason for investing in a cryptocurrency was equality, and reportedly more than 35 percent of respondents said that they felt as though they were missing something – “Fear of Missing Out” (FOMO).
This survey has also shown that a great number of investors are familiar with what they are doing. Most respondents, more specifically 75%, said that they knew what is the cryptocurrency and the how to participate on the market, while over 20% of respondents said they aren’t clear on what is exactly happening. Most respondents confirmed, about 62% of them that they could talk constructively about the cryptocurrencies.
When respondents asked about cryptocurrency as a type of investment, over 33% of respondents answered that their investment in cryptocurrencies seemed to be a positive form similar to stocks and bonds. Also, more than 80% said that they like cryptocurrency investing and see it as a positive form of risk-taking process. Also, the study shows us that 1 in 3 investors think that crypto investment is an innovative and better way compared with stocks and bonds which clearly shows us that change is coming.
Based on the finding of the survey, millennials are interested in the cryptocurrency investing process more than all the other age groups. This age group is clearly influencing the world and with the latest technologies and they will be part of the change in the world.
According to another poll by the independent crypto finance company, 25% of the millennials said they are interested in purchasing the cryptocurrencies over the next year. This sets them apart from other generations by more than 10% which shows us how younger generations are more and more involved in the crypto market.
